SBC Announces First Ever #PlantBasedBiz Event Headlined by Iconic Plant-based Business Trailblazers

Trailblazers Will Share How Businesses Can Benefit from Adopting a Plant-Based Lifestyle

The Sustainable Business Council (SBC) is holding the first ever #PlantBasedBiz event, in partnership with Gardein, on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at Expert DOJO in Santa Monica.

Featuring pioneers in the sustainable business movement, speakers will include musician and activist moby, founder and editor-in-chief of Mantra Yoga + Health, Maranda Pleasant, host of The Rich Roll podcast and author of The Plantpower Way, Rich Roll, founder and CEO of Follow Your Heart, Bob Goldberg, founder and CEO of Matthew Kenney Cuisines, Matthew Kenney, and Claudia DeMarco founder and creator TruVitality™, and the TruVitality Method™.

“We have an incredible collection of some of the top leaders in the plant-based business community,” said Steve Glenn, Chair of the Sustainable Business Council and CEO of LivingHomes. “We expect an enriching discussion about how and why our panel started their businesses and what they’ve learned along the way.”

The evening will include a VIP reception with sustainable business professionals featuring welcome remarks by Claudia DeMarco, founder and creator of TruVitality, and tastings of plant-based cuisine and libations. “Finding a nutrition and fitness path that you love leads to consistent behavior and consistency leads to long-term results,” said DeMarco. Jeremiah McElwee, VP of Merchandising of Thrive Market will be making a surprise announcement at the reception. Following the reception the trailblazer talks commence where attendees will have an opportunity to ask their questions during the audience question and answer portion of the event.

Attendees will be able to bid on items during the sustainable silent auction and also enter a raffle for prizes. Those unable to attend the event will be able to watch the live stream on Periscope hosted by Tiffany Paige of Green with Tiffany.
