The Green Festival is America’s largest and longest running sustainability and green living event held in downtown Los Angeles.
Here, Green With Tiffany’s Tiffany Paige highlights new, eco-friendly, “green” and sustainable products and ideas from companies and organizations like Trees For The Future, Dr. Bronner’s, Keep Cup, Smart Klean, Explore Asian, Bio K, 5 Gyres, A Greener Funeral, Eco Cork, DJ Cavem, One Love Unified, and the Los Angeles Community Award went to Best Friends Los Angeles to help with a NKLA (No Kill Los Angleles) initiative.
Tiffany joined one of the many diverse panels scheduled throughout the weekend with something for everyone. She spoke out about plastic pollution and what she experienced while on a recent research sailing expedition. The panel, titled “Plastic Pollution Solutions-from the 5 Gyres to your sink” included Anna Cummins from the non-profit 5 Gyres and Filmmaker Angela Sun of the documentary “Plastic Paradise: The Great Pacific Garbage Patch”.
It is such a great event with so much to see and do. The next Green Festival is coming up in San Francisco for 3 days from November 14-16, 2014.
